Hydroxycut Hardcore Elite Review

In showbiz, certain people grab our attention thanks to their name alone. This is because they’re part of a well-known family. If there’s a supplement equivalent of this it’s probably the Hydroxycut series.

The latest member attempting to become a breakout star is Hydroxycut Hardcore Elite. So does it have talent in its own right or is it coasting buy on its popular name? Are we dealing with a Coppola or a Kardashian?

Hydroxycut Hardcore Elite

The C.V checks out. We’re promised:

  • Potent thermogenic fat burning
  • Sustained high energy
  • Sharpened focus

All that and not a proprietary blend in sight. All the ingredients and their dosages are right there on the label, which is essential. Good start, let’s see if it’s got what it takes to be an A list burner.

How Does It Work?

At a Glance

  • Caffeine to boost metabolism and sustain energy
  • Green coffee bean to burn fat deposits
  • Coeleus Forskohlii to further support fat loss
  • Theanine to smooth stimulants
  • Yohimbe to possibly help with appetite and further cut weight

The Scores

The Scores

As with most in the Hydroxycut series there are a few definite highlights. Good amounts (200mg) of green coffee bean mean this product will have some fat burning chops, while solid levels of caffeine (270mg) will get your metabolism moving and not leave you short of energy. Coleus forskohlii may be of some help but is not as proven and usually has success at higher than 100mg.

On the downside, it’s a pity there’s no green tea or cayenne pepper to really boost the thermogenesis and although yohimbe can be great, 56mg seems high. It could also do with a couple more servings to keep effects firing.

Hydroxycut Hardcore Elite is widely available from a number of different retailers and it really does pay to check around. We’ve seen it as high as $70, but if you shop smart and get it for about the $30 mark then we’d consider this good value.

It doesn’t get full marks, because it’s not the full package, but it’s a decent formula from a good company so a credible budget buy.

There are what’s known as ‘Success stories’ on the Hydroxycut website but these don’t contain nearly as much detail as in-depth testimonials.

To judge how users rate it then you need to read the reviews on retail sites, which are usually also lacking in some of the info you should look for. Generally though, reports are positive with just a few unsatisfied customers scattered around.

The Hydroxycut range is manufactured in the U.S and complies with cGMP regulations. The team also don’t use proprietary blends to cover up any info which is extremely important.

Really our only issue is some of these fat burning choices aren’t as potent or proven as you’d probably want them to be.

Difficult to criticize Muscletech’s level of success. They have multiple supplements available covering every aspect of natural health and fitness you could imagine.

They also have worldwide reach and a dedicated fan base. We might quibble with a few formula choices here and there, but we can’t argue with how this lot operate.

How Do I Take It?

Hydroxycut Hardcore Elite’s serving schedule is a little more complex than the average.

On day 1 and 2 you take 1 cap once a day. Day 3 and 4 you up to 2 caps once a day. When you reach days 5 and 6 you take 1 cap with your first meal and 2 with your second. From the end of the first week on it’s 2 caps, twice a day

This is to allow your body to adjust to the stimulants, which is a good idea, but stopping at 2 servings not so much.

If you have 2 servings at either end of the day, there will be long periods where your body is getting no help because active ingredients will have worn off. Adding in a couple more servings would plug those gaps. Just that simple.

Any Hydroxycut Hardcore Elite Side Effects?

Possibly. The RDA of yohimbe is usually about 15-30mg (some people get results with as little as 5mg) so 50mg plus is a LOT.

If you are sensitive to it, nausea, dizziness, anxiety and irritability are all things you should be on the lookout for. And do not combine this amount of Yohimbe with caffeine. That would be bad.

Where Can I Get It?

You’ll find a Hydroxycut Hardore Elite at Bodybuilding.com for around $29, buying you a month’s supply. Available from Predator Nutrition in the U.K for £29.

Ingredients - In Detail

Caffeine / Caffeine Anhydrous

Caffeine / Caffeine Anhydrous

The first burner regular. Caffeine is a great choice for two reasons; firstly it speeds up your metabolism, burning through far more fat, and secondly it provides energy to help you avoid the slumps that normally come with a low calorie diet.

The 'Anhydrous' part refers to the fact that the water is removed to leave a white, crystalline powder with concentrated potency.

Green Coffee Bean

Green Coffee Bean

Green coffee bean, there in a strong enough amount, can be a strong addition to any fat burner. The chlorogenic acid in this ingredient breaks down glucose in the liver before it can be used as energy and starved of a source, the body starts chucking those pesky hard to shift fat stores in the furnace.

Coleus Forskohlii

Coleus Forskohlii

In fat burners it promotes cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP), and studies have linked higher levels of cAMP to improved fat burning. In certain trials it has also raised testosterone, which is a fat burner in and of itself.

You should be looking for around 250mg as a dosage in supplements - you should also be looking for manufacturers who have used the highly standardized patented Forslean® variant in their formula.

No fat burning abilities but known ability as an anti-anxiety ingredient. Usually included in burners that are heavy on the stimulants, to try and cut down side effects.

A chemical relative of caffeine, this is a stimulant but not a psychoactive one. It instead stimulates the heartbeat. In theory then it could absolutely help with fat loss, but we’d like to see stronger evidence backing this up. Often pitched in fat burners as an appetite regulator, but evidence for that is scarce.

In rare cases can also cause side effects.

Yohimbe is an effective fat burner in the right dose because it blocks the alpha receptors in the brain which limit fat burning. Too much yohimbe can cause side effects such as dizziness and nausea.

Anything Missing?

Apart from boosting the thermogenic profile with a few more ingredients like green tea and cayenne pepper, Hydroxycut Hardore Elite might want to think about helping us out with appetite control. Here’s nothing here.

The U.K version doesn’t contain Yohimbe owing to that country’s regulations.

This is a decent burner that’s worthy of the Hydroxycut name. Hardcore? Well there’s a fair amount of stimulants. Elite, though? Maybe that’s pushing it. Better options are out there.

Some of the Hydroxycut products I do not like but this one is an exception. It may lack some of the Cayenne and other ingredients but I guess it depends on what you are looking for. As I stated before in other comments, I was using and look for products that offer high energy ALL DAY on the days I need it. I also am looking for something that won’t kill my pocketbook and also the assimilation or lack of, is also important so I don’t have to keep switching products. I like this product because I only take one a day, taking more would be excessive, the energy lasts all day and has no side effects. As for fat burning, I work out regularly, am 56, work long hours, (but not long and hard anymore because I found it wasn’t necessary) I cut the carbs-eat chicken, fish, beef and veggies and don’t need the burners to burn fat. Hope this helps!
