Question: I am looking for more information in the fight against sugary milks. We have used the Jamie Oliver materials, but our administrative and food service team are preaching "choice" and the fact that the sugary milks are still endorsed by major nutritional groups.

Hi Nushin,

Review our additional resources on flavored milk to help make your case to limit or eliminate flavored milk. This change would limit children's consumption of sugar, which contributes to overweight and obesity, as well as increases their risk of cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes.

I've attached two factsheets ("A Day of Added Sugar" and "Chocolate Milk and Added Sugar") that we developed to make the case for why the added sugar in flavored milk contributes to the overall excess of sugar in our children's diets.
