Food and beverage companies frequently target children with marketing inside their schools, where they are a captive audience. This marketing shapes children’s preferences for foods and beverages that put their health at risk, including fast food, sugary sodas and sports drinks, and candy. It is parents’ responsibility to feed their children a healthy diet, but it makes this job more difficult when companies market to their children behind parents' backs.
